What materials are used in your sunglasses?

Our sunglasses feature frames crafted from premium acetate, lightweight metal alloys, and TR90 flexible resin. Lenses are UV400 rated and available in polarised, gradient, mirrored, and solid tints. All hinges and hardware use nickel-free or stainless steel fittings for durability and skin comfort.

Do your sunglasses offer UV protection?

Yes. All sunglasses in The Sunglass Edit provide UV400 protection, blocking 100% of UVA and UVB rays. This is the highest standard of UV protection available in consumer eyewear and is consistent across all styles and lens colours in the collection.

How should I clean my sunglasses?

Use the microfibre cloth provided with your sunglasses to gently wipe lenses in a circular motion. Avoid using paper products, clothing fabric, or tissues, as these can scratch lens coatings. For a deeper clean, rinse lenses under lukewarm water and dry immediately with the microfibre cloth. Never use harsh chemicals or solvents.

How should I store my sunglasses?

Always store in the protective case provided when not in use. Leaving sunglasses exposed on surfaces or in bags without a case risks lens scratching, frame warping, and hinge damage. Store away from high heat — including car dashboards and direct sunlight — as extreme temperatures can distort acetate frames and delaminate lens coatings.

Can sunglasses be worn in water?

We recommend removing your sunglasses before swimming or water activities. Saltwater and pool chemicals can corrode metal fittings, loosen lens adhesives in rimless styles, and affect certain lens coatings over time. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly if accidental water exposure occurs.

How do I adjust or tighten loose hinges?

If hinges feel loose over time, most standard sunglass screws can be tightened with a precision eyeglass screwdriver. Avoid forcing frames or over-tightening. If significant hinge play develops, we recommend professional adjustment at an optician to avoid frame damage.
